Who is Sonder Music Management?
Hello and welcome back to the Sonder Blog! We’re thrilled you’re here and can’t wait to share industry news, tips and tricks, interviews with bands and musicians, concert/album reviews and previews, and much more with all of you through this blog! But first, we wanted to take a moment to tell you a little bit about who we are and what we do. Read on to discover an overview of our services, our mission, and our team!
Who is Sonder Music Management?
Sonder Music Management, established in 2019, began as a full-service artist management company based in Denver, Colorado. Within the last two years, our vision has expanded and become more inclusive and well-rounded, seeking to not only support the artists on our full-service roster, but also offer management services to bands who aren’t ready for full management, don’t want full management, or who are facing financial challenges that make taking on full management impossible at this time. Our mission has always been and will continue to be to elevate the local music scene by providing comprehensive support to artists at various stages of their careers. To do that, we use our four guiding fundamental principles to light the way and inform all we do: Music, Community, Education, and Advocacy.
Music
We are dedicated to uplifting local musicians and propelling the Colorado music scene to a national platform. Music is at the heart of what we do. Each of our team members is either a musician themselves or a dedicated industry worker, contributing behind the scenes to the thriving music scene we are lucky to be a part of.
Community

So how do we bolster our Colorado music community? It has given us so much, and we seek to give back. One of the ways we do this is by organizing events such as networking evenings, songwriter collaboration sessions, and industry expert panels to foster a supportive and interconnected music community. We also focus on acting as a connector for our partners and the music community at large, highlighting service and product providers that provide resources for mental health, advocacy, addiction, safe spaces, inclusivity, and other important issues facing our scene’s members. This isn’t just reserved for musicians and bands, but for anyone and everyone in the music industry, whether you’re on stage or not. We want our community to be full of leaders who carry the torch of support throughout.
Education
Education is the cornerstone of our evolving community. Through hosting educational events, opening up the information highway, engaging the college and university communities, and furthering education internally for our team members, we strive to establish a bottom line of understanding and knowledge that unlocks the door for achieving success in the industry and eliminating the stigma that music and music industry roles are not viable full time career choices.
Advocacy
We advocate for our artists and the broader community, creating a resource center that addresss mental health, safe venues, and more, to make our community safer and more joyful. We hope to act as a conduit for open conversation about how legislation impacts our day-to-day lives in the industry and establish standards for community care, fair pay, and safe conditions for artists, music industry workers, and show attendees.
Full-Service Management
At Sonder, we provide full-service management for our Sonder Artists, guiding them through the complexities of the music industry. Our goal is to allow artists to focus on their craft while we handle the business aspects of their careers. If its anything besides taking the stage to play live music, we’re here to help!
Management Services
When we set out to transform the mission of Sonder Music Management, we wondered how we could help as many artists as possible. The answer we landed on was breaking away from traditional management structure and offering access to our services without having to commit to percentage-based full-service management. For instance, maybe you like public relations, but you hate having to do social media management; or perhaps you’re great at social media, but you need a new website and don’t have the time or know-how; there’s a chance you’re just starting out and have no idea where to go from here, or you’re releasing a new album and want to consult with someone who has years of experience putting new music out into the world successfully. Our management services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual artist, including:
BOOKING SUPPORT: Eliminating the research behind creating a tour. While we don’t offer traditional booking services for clients, we do offer routing advice, access to our venue and media databases, tailored email templates, and consultations to help walk you through the process of booking in new markets.
SOCIAL MEDIA & MARKETING: Developing strategies to enhance online presence and engagement. Whether you need a guiding hand or want it completely taken off your plate, we’re here to help you create a calendar, schedule your social media posts, and even engage with your following.
MUSIC BUSINESS BASICS: So you want to do music? Great! Welcome. We can walk you through creating an LLC, setting up a bank account, ensuring you have the necessary forms, crafting a press kit, and templating out booking emails to help you hit the ground running - the right way.
NEW ALBUM RELEASES: Ready to release the songs you’ve been working so hard on? Great, we’re here to collaborate on distribution, strategy, advertising, and media outreach.
PUBLIC RELATIONS: How do you get the press’s attention? What’s the secret to getting your shows on all of the online calendars out there? We’re ready to help you make the most of your accomplishments and upcoming ventures by devising a PR strategy for you!
SOCIAL MEDIA ADVERTISING: Social media ads are a powerful tool, but its a twisty maze on the way to understanding how to use them, how to target the audience you want, and how to craft successful ads that convert to whichever goal you have in mind. Don’t worry, you’re not alone and we’ve got the years of experience and expertise to guide you along the way.
EPK & WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT: Your front-facing image is one of the most important factors in getting shows, executing them successfully, and watching your brand grow. The keystone in that is having a well-crafted EPL and informative, easy to use, and aesthetically pleasing website. Don’t have the time or knowledge to make it happen? We do!
& MUCH MORE: If it’s a service typically in the job description of a manager, we can do it! Check out our menu of services and schedule a discovery call to find out how we can work together! Every single artist is different, so every single package is custom. We want to find out how we can work together in a way that’s best for you!
Why Does an Artist Need Management Services?
Navigating the music industry can be challenging. Most (if not all) artists get into the industry because they love making music. These days however, you have to be so much more than a musician - you have to be a marketer, a booking agent, a PR specialist, a web designer, a licensing savant, and much much more. If you find that the admin work is taking up more time than you have to write, record, and play music, that’s why we’re here: to be an extension of your team that handles aspects of your business operations so you can focus on what you do best: music.
So How Does it Work?
Once you check out our services and schedule a discover call, we’ll get to know each other a little bit! If we find we click, we’ll create a custom proposal for you. Once the contract is signed, it’s time to schedule a kickoff call and we’re off to the races!
