Local Colorado Concerts This Weekend: October 18-20, 2019

There are always so many concerts to choose from in Colorado! No matter where you are - Denver, one of our many beautiful Colorado mountain towns, Fort Collins, Greeley, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, or anywhere in between - there’s no shortage of live music. Here at Sonder, we love local - and while you can see lots of National acts rolling through, we like to focus on those musical cats that are from our great state of Colorado. Here are our local Colorado concert picks for October 18-20, 2019.

Float Like a Buffalo Halloween Bash 2019 with Los Cheesies at Buffalo Rose

Golden, CO

Tonight is the official start of the Halloween concert season with the Float Like a Buffalo Halloween Bash at the Buffalo Rose in Golden. This is going to be a night to make sure your dancing shoes are laced up, as Los Cheesies, Latin and American Rock Fusion Band, is kicking off the show with their signature sound. We even heard a rumor that there would be Mexican Luchadores as backup dancers. I can’t tell you how excited I am for everyone to see these guys on the big stage that they deserve. We sometimes go to Morrison Holiday Bar for some live music - and we ran into these cats playing one night. They are simply infectious, and we knew they were so right for this Halloween show at Buffalo Rose. Los Cheesies will be on stage from 8:00-9:00.

After Los Cheesies gets everyone rowdy, Float Like a Buffalo will take the stage from 9:30-11:00 in their headline debut at Buffalo Rose. This show is a big Halloween Bash, and there’s a costume contest with some pretty sweet prizes, so don your best! Float Like a Buffalo always has a great group costume going - and this year will be no exception.

The Main Squeeze at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom

Denver, CO

While The Main Squeeze is a national act out of L.A., I’d be remiss not to mention this show because it has two absolutely phenomenal openers from Colorado. First up, Denver’s Ghose Tapes. Man, I cannot say enough good things about Ghost Tapes. Stella just knows how to captivate a room, and with her haunting (in a good way) voice + the 70s funk and soul influences… it’s a sound you won’t soon forget and you’ll absolutely love. The four-piece retro-funk-dance-rock outfit Jaden Carlson Band hails from Boulder and features a young front woman who’s captivating the country.
