Float Like a Buffalo Announces Single Release and First Headline at The Bluebird Theater in January
Today, Float Like a Buffalo Announced their latest Single Release Party, set for January 3, 2020 at The Bluebird Theatre. This will be the band’s first headline appearance at the iconic room.
This performance marks only a year and a half since Float Like a Buffalo’s very first appearance at The Bluebird Theatre on Sept. 7, 2018, when they opened for MarchFourth Marching Band. Even then, Float packed the theater, and they continue making waves by ascending to the headlining spot so quickly.
January 3, 2020 also marks 364 days, the almost-one-year anniversary of Float Like a Buffalo’s Debut Full-Length Album Release Party at The Gothic Theatre. The band released “Back From Nowhere” to a near-sold-out crowd with local openers 21 Taras, Graham Good & The Painters, and Brothers of Brass.
This announcement comes following a rocket summer for Float Like a Buffalo - a summer that was a continuous stream of “wow.” The band played the Red Rocks Main Stage as opener for Face Vocal Band, played the Outside Magazine Lounge at the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience, received Denver Westword’s award for Best Funk Band, was listed among 303 Magazine’s picks for the Top 30 Rock Bands in Denver, and capped the summer with their second headline appearance at the historic Gothic Theatre in Englewood, where they released a new single, “Gone By Morning,” and the new music video to go with it.
This show will be Float’s first of the year for 2020, and will be only one of a handful of Denver shows that the band will play throughout the year. We are truly hopeful that this show will kick off 2020 the way the Gothic kicked of 2019, with only bigger and bigger things to come.
Float Like a Buffalo is joined at this show by The Pamlico Sound out of Denver and The Great Salmon Famine out of Fort Collins, both of whom will be making their Bluebird Theatre debuts..
